A Retirement KITAS is a stay permit granted to foreigners to retire in Indonesia for a period of 1 year. The visa is a multiple-entry visa, so the applicant doesn’t need to apply for a new visa as long as it is valid.

Requirements to get a Retirement visa
From the applicant
- Minimum age: 55
- Passport with a validity of at least 6 (six) months
- Picture of the applicant
- Personal bank statement showing a minimum equivalent amount of USD 2,000
- Bank account that proves income in the form of salary or income worth at least USD 60,000 per year
- Proof of income of a minimum equivalent amount of USD 3,000 per month
Process and timeline of obtaining a retirement KITAS
After receiving all the document requirements, the application process takes around 30 days. Once the visa is issued, the applicant has 90 days to enter the country and activate its retirement KITAS.
Other things to know about your Visa
- KITAS holders who are planning to leave Indonesia, change their sponsor or change their visa need to apply for an EPO (exit permit only) while being in Indonesia or ERP (exit and re-entry permit) if the person is outside of Indonesia.
