Privacy Policy
Alcance
This policy covers ilaglobalconsulting.com and the personal data we collect when you contact us, request a consultation, subscribe to updates, or engage ILA for legal, tax or corporate advisory services.
What we collect
- When you contact us or book a consultation: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, country of residence, and whatever details you choose to share about your enquiry (for example, the type of visa, company structure or tax matter).
- When you engage us for a service: the identification, corporate, financial or property documents needed to carry out that engagement — only what’s relevant to the matter.
- When you browse the site: technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, collected automatically through analytics (see our Cookie Policy).
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your phone number and the content of that conversation, handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy terms as well as this policy.
How we use it
We use your data to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver the legal, tax or corporate services you’ve engaged us for, meet our own regulatory and record-keeping obligations, and — only with your consent — send you updates about regulatory changes or ILA news.
Our legal bases
Depending on the data and purpose, we rely on: your consent (for example, newsletter sign-ups); the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you (delivering an engagement you’ve instructed us on); and our legitimate interest in running and improving our services, which we balance against your rights.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal data. We share it only where needed, with:
- Government bodies, notaries or regulators where a filing or registration requires it (for example, company registration or visa processing).
- Service providers who support our operations — our website host, our analytics provider (Google Analytics 4), and WhatsApp Business, each bound by their own data protection terms.
- Professional partners we refer you to for licensed work outside ILA’s scope, with your knowledge.
Data transferred across borders
Because ILA serves clients across Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, and uses international tools such as Google Analytics, your data may be processed outside the country where you’re based. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to protect it to a standard consistent with Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and the Philippines’ Data Privacy Act.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you, and engagement records for the period required by professional and tax record-keeping rules in the relevant jurisdiction — typically several years after a matter closes. [Confirm exact retention periods with your compliance advisor.]
Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you can generally ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it if inaccurate; delete it where we’re not required to keep it; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent at any time (for marketing, for example). To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in our Legal Notice. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may also raise it with your local data protection authority.
Keeping your data secure
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — secure hosting, restricted access to client files, and encrypted connections (HTTPS) — to protect the data you share with us.
Children
Our services are directed at businesses and adults; we don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, tools or the law change. We’ll post the revised version here with an updated date.
