About the Investor KITAS
The Investor KITAS (index E28) is designed for foreigners who hold shares in a locally established foreign-investment company, the PT PMA. It ties your right to stay in Indonesia to your investment in that company.
Because the permit is based on shareholding rather than employment, qualifying investors can typically direct their own company and reside in Indonesia without the monthly foreign-worker levy that applies to a Working KITAS.
