Requirements to extend your visa

- Passport with a validity of 6 months
- Address in Indonesia
- Bank statement
- Outbound ticket from Indonesia for some visas, such as the VOA

Visa On Arrival
The visa on arrival is granted to travellers entering Indonesia without any online visa. The validity of the visa is 30 days. The initial period of 30 days can be extended for another 30 days directly at the immigration office in Bali.
Tourists eligible for a 60 days tourist visa can apply directly online The list of countries is available on the website of the immigration.
To extend at the immigration office in Jimbaran, Denpasar or Singaraja, the traveller needs to bring the following documents:
- An extension fee of 500 000 IDR
- Visa on Arrival Receipt
- Passport
- Photo
- Form provided by the immigration
Single and multiple entry visa type C and D (ex B211 and D212)
You can extend the tourist and business visa, which is valid for 60 days, twice, adding 60 days each time. The total stay cannot exceed 180 days.
Indonesian immigration doesn’t accept any extension at the immigration office, and all extensions are now handled online to simplify the process.
KITAS extension in Bali
KITAS holders need to start their application renewal online The resident needs to provide a certain number of documents depending on the type of KITAS and show the applicant fulfil the requirements.
General requirements:
- Passport validity with 6-month validity
- Photo
- Address in Indonesia
- SKTT
- Sponsor Documents
- KTP of the sponsor
Specific requirements
- Proof of investment for an Investor KITAS
- BPJS contribution for a worker with a working KITAS
- NPWP and annual income tax contribution
NEW KITAS and KITAS cancellation
For a Bali visa extension, KITAS holders must cancel their KITAS if they plan to leave or change sponsors. This process, called EPO (Exit Permit Only), requires applying at least 7 days before the KITAS expires. After cancellation, the foreigner has 7 days to leave the country and can then apply for a new KITAS. If the KITAS expires while the foreigner is outside Indonesia, they must apply for an ERP (Exit Re-Entry Permit) before getting a new KITAS.
